A hotel for families with children - the reopening of Hotel TOP was our dream
We purchased the family hotel in poor condition just before Christmas 2017. Hotel TOP Benecko was originally built as a recreational facility for the Strojtex state enterprise in 1984. The company was involved in the development and production of cotton spinning mills and equipment designed for the jute and linen industries. This production no longer exists today.
You can be sure that there are many schools and kindergartens which can recall spending time at TOP. Just like us. We were even its last guests in 2013. The last accommodated kindergarten - Pro Family.
After our departure, the building was auctioned off as part of the liquidation of the company which owned it. It was closed for four years and fell into disrepair.
We tried contacting the owners simply out of interest and the situation took an unexpected turn. Thanks to obliging negotiations and the assistance of many friends and acquaintances, we ended up purchasing the hotel and started renovating it.
It needed a completely new roof, repairs to the plumbing, the heating, the bathrooms, the rooms, the floor coverings... and especially the kitchen.
After all, excellent cuisine and relaxation are bywords for ProFamily Hotel TOP Benecko.
It is simply a pleasant hotel for families with children which also offers accommodation for schools and kindergartens.

ProFamily Benecko
The ProFamily Hotel TOP is located in Benecko, which offers ideal holiday conditions for families with children both in summer and in winter. Benecko is a mountain air spa in the Giant Mountains which is situated at an altitude of around 900 metres.
It offers wonderful views and stays in the countryside of the Giant Mountains National Park. Thanks to its unique position, Benecko is located above the smog cloud level most of the year and it not only guarantees clean and fragrant mountain air, but also the highest number of sunny days in the year.
The modern Benecko ski resort offers ideal conditions for skiing. It not only includes diverse sunny slopes for beginners and intermediate skiers, but also but also a slalom slope for more sporty skiers, two snow parks, a children's ski park and a Family Arena.
The entire family can sledge and toboggan with young children. Benecko has a modernised 4-seater chairlift, 12 ski tows, 2 children's magic carpets, 2 snow-tubing runs, snowmaking facilities and evening skiing every day.
If you don't downhill ski or snowboard, but prefer cross-country skiing, the perfect trail grooming, large number of trails, views of the region and high altitude mean that Benecko is able to offer some of the best conditions for cross-country skiing in the Czech Republic. The trails are sufficiently wide and have the necessary parameters for both the classic skiing technique and skating. The skiing trails are also connected to other cross-country skiing trails to Žalý, Vrchlabí, Mísečky via Rovinka and on to the ridges of the Giant Mountains with a connection to the Giant Mountains Arterial Cross-Country Skiing Network. As such, more than 100 km of groomed trails are available in winter.
Our ProFamily Hotel TOP offers a wide range of activities in its environs in summer; cycling, swimming at the Benecko outdoor swimming pool approximately 100 m from the hotel, horse riding, a 6-hole golf course (the Hančova Public Golf Course at the Benecko Hut), 2 nine-hole courses (ca 20 km), a chairlift ride from Herlíkovice to Mount Žalý and the adrenaline rush of riding downhill on steep slopes on hired robust footbikes. It is also possible to make cycle tours of the environs, for example to the source of the Elbe, to Sněžka, to the nearby stone lookout tower on Mount Žalý (1036 m above sea level) with a wonderful view of the environs or to the ruin of the Štěpanice Castle dating from the end of the 13th century, and to enjoy the artificial snow or mountain trikes, which are fun for both children and adults, at the Tubing Park (100m). There is also a zoo and an inline track nearby the hotel.
A hotel for families with children
The ProFamily Hotel Top Benecko is a small family-friendly hotel. Pre-school and school-age children will not know what to do first. In the summer months, there is a children's playground, a sandpit, a slide, a playhouse, a flying fox and a children's corner for them. Benecko also organises a lot of activities for children in the vicinity of the Hotel TOP Benecko all year round. After playing and frolicking all day, your children will be pleasantly tired and full of new experiences and impressions, while you will have time to just sit with an excellent glass of wine or beer from the local brewery and titbits from our barbecue and smoke room. Our hotel restaurant focuses on healthy, good quality cuisine with a selection of suitable ingredients. We only choose fresh, top quality ingredients with a clear provenance for the restaurant at Hotel TOP Benecko. We cook without any unnecessary additives or semi-products. That is our kitchen. It is open to you at Hotel Top. We don't cover anything up. Take a look.

We have a changing table with the option of ordering sanitary requirements, baby food, a baby's bath and toys for your children. You can also hire a pram and we naturally also offer children's cots, electric kettles or a microwave. Your baby will be able to rest in the fresh air of the beautiful countryside.
